INTRODUCTION
Pinewood School Saharanpur is a minority educational institution, was founded by Late Mrs. Pritilata Talibuddin in January 1966 in response to the need of that time for an English Medium Primary School. Now the School has attained the status of 10+2 and is affiliated to CBSE New Delhi and has more than 2700 students on its rolls and about 125 highly qualified and dedicated teaching staff. It is a well reputed English Medium Co-Educational School with a very impressive building. It has airy and spacious class rooms and is located in a pollution free and healthy environment. It has had 100% Board results with all First Divisions. There is a common course for all students up to Class X and thereafter the courses are split into Science and Commerce Streams. The Pinewood Emblem is an adaptation of the Star of India. It comprises of thirty two rays representing the points of the compass which symbolizes the universality of the institution. In the centre there is an oval field, divided into three sectors by the Ganga and Yamuna 'do-abb' and in each sector there is a pine tree representing the Prime Virtues of Faith, Hope and Charity. The Central field is enclosed within a Belt of Protection' emblazoned with the motto "Heaven's Light Our Guide".
